Residents of Adavi-Eba, Kogi State, took matters into their own hands on Friday, November 29, 2024, after apprehending a suspected thief.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was accused of stealing phones and other valuables from homes in the area.
According to reports, the suspect was caught attempting to break into a house. Angry residents beat him severely, leaving him injured. During questioning, he mentioned the towns of Nagazi and Ihima but did not provide specific details about his origin.
The suspect has since been handed over to the authorities for further investigation.
