Armed bandits unleashed terror on the Kungurki community in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Saturday night, November 30, 2024.
The attack resulted in the tragic death of an elderly man and the abduction of 13 residents, including a vulnerable two-month-old baby and his mother.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the assailants stormed the village, firing indiscriminately to instill fear among the populace. The bandits proceeded to loot shops, stealing food items, household supplies, and other valuables.
The swift attack allowed the bandits to round up their victims before retreating into the nearby forest. A local resident described the terrifying ordeal, stating, “They took women, children, and an elderly man was killed in cold blood.”
