Tragedy struck in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Saturday, December 7, 2024, when suspected bandits abducted a newlywed bride and four bridesmaids shortly after their wedding ceremony in Kwaren Gamba near Kuka Teke.
The area, known for repeated attacks by armed groups loyal to the notorious terror kingpin Bello Turji, was once again targeted by these ruthless criminals.
According to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the armed men stormed the area, causing widespread panic and helplessness among residents as they forcefully took the victims.
The families of the abductees are devastated, and local youth and elders are expressing deep frustration over this horrific incident.
