Hotel Staff Under Investigation in Liam Payne’s Tragic Death

Argentine authorities are investigating two hotel staff members, Esteban Grassi and Gilda Martin, in connection with the untimely death of former One Direction singer Liam Payne.

Payne tragically fell from his third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires in October. CCTV footage captured Grassi, the chief receptionist, carrying Payne to his room shortly before the incident.

This, along with concerns about the staff’s decision not to leave Payne in the lobby while awaiting medical assistance, has raised questions about their actions.

Investigating judge Laura Bruniard has ordered both Grassi and Martin to appoint legal representation ahead of formal questioning, scheduled for next week.

Local reports suggest that prosecutors are considering manslaughter charges against the hotel staff involved in carrying Payne to his room. The singer’s death was attributed to a combination of alcohol, cocaine, and an antidepressant, with authorities ruling out suicide.
