Two students tragically lost their lives in a fatal road accident in Lokoja, Kogi State, on Friday, December 13, 2024.
The accident occurred around 10 AM when a heavily loaded articulated truck, heading towards Abuja, lost control along Felele in Lokoja and collided with a tricycle carrying passengers.
Sadly, two individuals were killed in the incident. They have been identified as Covenant Omolola Isaac, a Geology student at the Federal University Lokoja, and Abu Taiwo Abimbola, a Science Laboratory and Technology student at the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.
An identification card belonging to Omolola was recovered from the accident scene. The bodies of both students were subsequently deposited at the Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, by Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) officers.
