South African singer Tyla has made history by winning two prestigious awards at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.
She was crowned Top Afrobeats Artist of the Year, beating out Nigerian stars like Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, and Asake. Additionally, her hit track “Water” was awarded Top Afrobeats Song.
Tyla’s victory marks a significant moment for South African music, as she has been making waves globally with her unique blend of Afrobeats and R&B.
Earlier this year, she became the youngest African artist to win a Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance.
