A 45-year-old man, identified as Alani Rasaq, tragically collapsed and died in front of a filling station opposite the Fire Brigade office in Ifo, Ogun State, on Tuesday 17th December.
According to Segun Afolabi, the manager of the filling station, the incident occurred at around 3:00 PM. Mr. Rasaq reportedly collapsed and died while in front of the station.
The police were immediately notified and promptly arrived at the scene. They transported Mr. Rasaq to the General Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him deceased.
The police subsequently moved Mr. Rasaq’s body to the Ifo mortuary.
Confirming the incident, SP Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, stated that a post-mortem examination is currently being conducted to determine the cause of death.
