Azuka was kidnapped on the night of Tuesday, 24th December 2024, while returning home along Ugwunapampa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha, the state’s commercial hub.
Confirming the abduction, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that efforts were underway to rescue the lawmaker and apprehend his abductors.
Ikenga said: “The Anambra Police Command has activated operational plans for the possible rescue and arrest of the kidnappers of Mr. Justice Azuka, Honourable State House of Assembly member representing Onitsha North Constituency.
“The report indicates that on 24th December 2024, at about 9:20 p.m., while returning home along Ugwunapampa Road, he was abducted by unidentified persons.
