On Wednesday, 25th December 2024, suspected terrorists launched a drone attack on the 27 Task Force Brigade base in Buni Gari, Yobe State.
SaharaReporters reported that soldiers stationed at the base successfully intercepted and shot down all three drones deployed in the attack.
This incident follows a similar attack on Monday, 23rd December 2024, where terrorists employed drones to strike a Forward Operating Base in Wajiroko, Borno State, resulting in injuries to six soldiers and damage to a gun truck.
The use of drones by terrorist groups in the region has become increasingly prevalent, highlighting the evolving tactics and sophistication of these insurgent groups.
