Jeff Baena, the American writer and director, best known for his work in film and his marriage to actress Aubrey Plaza, has tragically passed away at the age of 47.
Baena died by suicide at his home in the Los Angeles area on the morning of Friday, 3rd January 2025. According to law enforcement sources speaking to TMZ, his assistant discovered his body at approximately 10:30 a.m. local time. Baena was pronounced dead at the scene.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Baena went on to attend film school at New York University. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, where he built an extensive portfolio as a writer and director.
Throughout his career, Baena earned more than a dozen directing and film credits, making significant contributions to the film world.
