Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has denied rumours suggesting he intends to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speculation had been rife that El-Rufai was working with other prominent political figures to form a strong opposition to the APC in the forthcoming 2027 elections.
El-Rufai took to X on Sunday, 5th January, to address the rumours, saying: “Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers.”
