Video: Ghana’s New President John Mahama Mistakenly Refers to Bola Tinubu as President of Ghana

A video has gone viral showing the moment Ghana’s newly elected President, John Mahama, mistakenly referred to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu as the President of Ghana.

The gaffe took place during Mahama’s inauguration on Tuesday, 7th January.

Mahama, 65, who previously served as Ghana’s president from July 2012 to January 2017, has taken over from Nana Akufo-Addo.

He first became president in July 2012 after the death of President John Evans Atta Mills, completing the remainder of Mills’ term, before winning the election in 2012.
