Kwara State Bans Parking, Waiting, and Street Trading at Popular Flyover Bridge in Ilorin

The Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA) has announced a ban on parking, waiting, and street trading on both sides of the Challenge-A’ Division Flyover Bridge in Ilorin.

The directive, issued by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, aims to improve traffic flow and enhance safety in the area.

KWARTMA Executive Officer, Engr. Bamidele Michael, confirmed the ban in a statement on Wednesday, 8th January. He noted that warning signs, including “No Parking,” “No Waiting,” and “No Trading,” will be installed at designated locations near the bridge.

Engr. Michael urged residents and commuters to adhere to the new rules to avoid penalties.

The statement read: “I wish to convey His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State directive that henceforth, PARKING, WAITING and STREET TRADDING at both sides of Challenge-A’ Division Fly-over Bridge has been restricted. Meanwhile, installation/erection of “No Parking” “No waiting” and No Trading” warning sign post has been approved at the sides of the bridge.

“In this regard, the Authority implores you to caution and ensure the compliance of your member with the directive.”
