Delta Governor Oborevwori Sacks Information Commissioner

Delta State Governor, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, has dismissed Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza from the position of Commissioner for Information.

The reasons for Dr. Osuoza’s removal have not been officially disclosed. However, sources suggest that the dismissal may be linked to multiple complaints of alleged incompetence.

Dr. Fred Latimor Oghenesivbe, Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communication, confirmed the dismissal.

Governor Oborevwori has appointed Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), Charles Aniagwu, to temporarily oversee the Ministry of Information.

Aniagwu, a seasoned media professional who previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Commissioner for Information under former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, is expected to assume his dual role starting Monday, 13th January.
