Joshua Zirkzee scored the decisive penalty for 10-man Manchester United, securing a 1-1 draw after extra time against Arsenal in their FA Cup third-round clash at the Emirates on Sunday, 12th January.
Bruno Fernandes put United ahead in the 52nd minute with a curling shot, but Gabriel Magalhães equalised for Arsenal 11 minutes later following Diogo Dalot’s red card.
Arsenal then missed a penalty, with United’s goalkeeper Altay Bayindir making a crucial save from Martin Ødegaard. Despite several missed chances, the match went to penalties, where Zirkzee sealed the win.
United will learn their next opponent in the fourth round later on Sunday evening.
