Police are searching for suspects involved in setting fire to a Perodua Axia owned by a Nigerian man at Seksyen U4, Shah Alam, Malaysia.
Sungai Buloh police chief Hafiz Nor confirmed that an investigation had been launched after the 39-year-old victim filed a report at 2.19pm on Monday, 13th January. The man had parked his car at a local parking lot around 10.17am on Sunday, 12th January, to film a TikTok video nearby. When he returned at 1.05pm, he found his car engulfed in flames.



Hafiz explained that the fire and rescue department’s forensic unit is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
Police are investigating the incident under Section 435 of the Penal Code for arson, which carries a penalty of up to 14 years in prison and a fine, upon conviction.
In a video shared online, the Nigerian man expressed his distress, revealing that his passport and other valuables were inside the vehicle when it was torched.
