Adeniyi Oluwaseun, the acting Head of the Audit Department at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State, tragically took his own life on Sunday, 19th January 19 2025.
The incident occurred in the Obantoko area of Abeokuta after Mr. Oluwaseun had eaten dinner.
Reports suggest that Mr. Oluwaseun, who had previously sought treatment for mental health issues, is survived by two wives and three children.
The news of his death, particularly given that one of his children was due to be married within a month, has deeply saddened the FMC Abeokuta community.
The body was recovered from a well and subsequently taken to a mortuary.
Segun Orisajo, Head of Public Relations and Communication at FMC Abeokuta, confirmed the incident, expressing the hospital management’s profound sorrow. He described Mr. Oluwaseun as a dedicated and loyal member of staff whose sudden passing has come as a shock to the entire hospital.
