A$AP Rocky has rejected a plea bargain offering six months in prison, opting to proceed to trial where he faces the possibility of several years’ imprisonment.
Jury selection commenced on Tuesday, 21st January, for the Grammy-nominated rapper, who is charged with two felony counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm.
The charges stem from a 2021 incident in Hollywood where Rocky allegedly shot at a former friend and collaborator.
Rocky, whose legal name is Rakim Mayers, waived his right to appear in court in person, but his lawyer confirmed his presence.
