A 31-year-old German lawyer has accused a 46-year-old married man of raping her in front of 1,000 livestream viewers after meeting him on a dating app.
The woman alleges that she met the man, identified in German reports as Tim B. due to privacy laws, in May 2022. According to Bild, Tim B., a father of four who serves in the German armed forces, arranged a meeting with the woman at a hotel in Berlin-Mitte.
The alleged victim claims that despite an initial agreement to use a condom, Tim B. disregarded her wishes and proceeded to rape her while broadcasting the act live to an audience of approximately 1,000 people.
Tim B. denies the rape allegations, claiming the encounter was consensual and that the woman agreed to participate in the livestream. He maintains that he never removed the condom and that the woman voluntarily ended the interaction.
The prosecution, however, argues that the livestreaming itself constitutes a serious offence, as the images could cause significant harm to the victim’s reputation.
The verdict in the case is expected to be delivered on 10th February.
