Nollywood actress Ini Edo has candidly opened up about her struggles with infertility.
In the latest season of the “Young, Famous and African” reality show, the 42-year-old mother of one revealed her difficult journey to motherhood.
“I got married at the age of 26 because I thought that by 31, I would have been done with childbearing, retired, and focused on my career, but life didn’t go that way,” Ini Edo shared. “I tried. I have had over six miscarriages. It wasn’t an easy journey for me. I’ve done IVF. I’ve lost pregnancies midway. I know what I’ve dealt with as a woman.”
Ini Edo married Philip Ehiagwina in 2008, but the couple separated in 2014. She welcomed her daughter, Light, in March 2021 through surrogacy.
