Love Island star Grace Jackson claims that “all those f*cking Manchester United fans” were partly responsible for her failed romance with Marcus Rashford. She made the remarks while discussing her relationship on the reality show, which is produced in the UK.
The 26-year-old Mancunian model reportedly went on a number of dates with England international Rashford in 2024. They were spotted hanging out on a regular basis, but are said to have split in December as Jackson reportedly told friends that Rashford was not “serious about her”.
Jackson is now featuring on Love Island All Stars and has been quizzed on her love life. Asked if she has been seeing any footballers, with Rashford’s name thrown into the mix, Jackson said: “No we were out in a group having food… we weren’t dating but we was chatting a little and texting.”
She added: “It’s difficult because he can’t go out and just go on a normal date. All these f*cking United fans were like commenting, thousands of comments on my pictures like, ’cause they loved me. When the article came out he scored two goals and he hadn’t scored for like ages, so they said ‘You fixed him!’”
On the difficulties of dating somebody so famous, Jackson went on to say: “If it would have been a bit different, because he couldn’t really date so he’d be like ‘I wanna see you, just come to mine and chill with me’ but I’m like, ‘I don’t really wanna….”
Pressed on whether Rashford really liked her, Jackson said: “I think he did. I think it went a bit weird when all the articles were coming out but I’ve known his brother since I was like 17 so then he was like ‘na don’t worry about it, he knows it’s not you’ but it just changed the vibe a bit cause everyone knew and there wasn’t anything to know.”
Amid the uncertainty shrouding his private life, Rashford is also facing plenty of questions when it comes to his professional career. The 27-year-old forward has been frozen out at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim and is seeing a transfer speculated on during the January window.
