Troops of Sector 7, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), have arrested a notorious gunrunner and his accomplice, seizing a cache of arms and ammunition during an operation in Kaduna State.
The operation was conducted on Sunday, 20th January 2025, following credible intelligence.
Intelligence sources revealed that the suspects, identified as 62-year-old Timothy Yusuf and his son, Timothy Obadiah, were apprehended at Fadiya Village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
During the operation, troops seized 11 homemade rifles, two AK-47 magazines, and 60 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition.
The suspects and the seized items are currently in custody for further investigation. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the gunrunning syndicate.
