Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, on loan from Napoli, is alleged to have assaulted a journalist outside an entertainment venue in Istanbul, Turkey.
The incident reportedly occurred when Osimhen reacted aggressively to photographers attempting to capture his image as he exited the venue with friends.
According to Turkish news outlet Posta.com.tr, Osimhen lashed out at journalists, including their reporter Tolga Bozduman. Bozduman claims Osimhen punched him in the head and made verbal threats.
Bozduman provided his account of the events: “Three colleagues and I were at the door capturing images of Osimhen. When the camera flashes went off, he snapped. He charged at me, tried to grab my camera, and punched me in the head. My right side still hurts.”
Bozduman further alleged that Osimhen offered to pay them to delete the footage and threatened them with violence when they refused.
This alleged assault has drawn criticism and tarnished Osimhen’s image. As of now, neither Galatasaray nor Napoli has commented on the incident.
