Elon Musk professed his love for Donald Trump through an effusive social media post on Friday, 7th February.
The billionaire businessman had emerged as a key ally during the US election campaign, attending rallies and donating more than $100 million to Republican causes. He later joined the Trump administration, overseeing a drastic downsizing and reshaping of the U.S federal government.
“I love Donald Trump as much as a straight man can love another man,” Musk declared on X.
The message prompted humorous responses from supporters, including one from Donald Trump Jr.

One supporter described it as the “greatest bromance in history,” while another assured, “Together they are gonna Make America Great Again.”
A third comparison was made between their bond and the biblical friendship of David and Jonathan. Some commenters also reminded Musk that Valentine’s Day is on 14th February, while others called for a community note on the post. A few even speculated whether Kanye West, who has been on a posting spree recently, had taken over Musk’s account.
