US President Trump Says He Won’t Deport Prince Harry, “He’s Got Enough Problems with His Wife”

President Donald Trump has no intention of pursuing a visa case against Prince Harry, as he believes the former royal already faces enough challenges with his wife, Meghan Markle.

Trump, who was not pleased with Harry and Meghan’s departure from the royal family, has expressed his allegiance to the late Queen Elizabeth, who Trump said had liked him.

In an interview with the New York Post, Trump made it clear that he wouldn’t go after Harry. “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

After stepping down from royal duties, Harry and Meghan moved to Los Angeles in 2020. Following the release of Harry’s memoir Spare, in which he confessed to past drug use, questions arose about whether he disclosed this in his visa application. Concerns were raised over whether he should have been disqualified from receiving a US visa.

The Heritage Foundation sued the Department of Homeland Security, pushing for the release of Harry’s visa records. However, the case was ruled in Harry’s favour, with a judge deciding that the records would not be released. Despite this, there were speculations that Trump might still pursue the case.

Trump and Meghan Markle have had a strained relationship, with Trump frequently expressing his dislike for her. In 2022, he described Harry as “whipped” and criticised Meghan, saying, “I’m not a fan of Meghan, I’m not a fan, and I wasn’t right from the beginning. I think poor Harry is being led around by his nose.”

Rumours about Harry and Meghan’s marriage being on the rocks circulated, though it was later suggested that they might choose a “professional separation,” focusing on their individual work while making occasional joint appearances. However, they were seen together during the California wildfires, visiting relief centres.
