Three students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, undergoing Industrial Training (IT), have been abducted.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening, 8th February, while they were returning home after working at a farm near the Akure Airport in the Oba-ile area of Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The Ondo State Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer, ‘Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the abduction and stated that anti-kidnapping operatives have been deployed to the area.
The Commander of the Amotekun Corps in the state, Adetunji Adeleye, also confirmed the incident, adding that his men and other security operatives are searching the area for the victims.
A family source has revealed that the abductors have contacted the families of the students and are demanding a ransom of N15 million.
