Rapper Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show Becomes the Most-Watched of All Time

Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show has officially become the most-watched halftime performance ever, according to Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL.

The performance drew a staggering 133.5 million viewers, surpassing even the Big Game itself, which averaged 126 million viewers according to Fox Sports.

This record-breaking viewership also cements Lamar’s place in history as the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show. He dethroned Michael Jackson’s iconic 1993 performance, which garnered 133.4 million viewers, and last year’s headliner, Usher, who drew 123.4 million viewers.

The Super Bowl LIX game itself saw the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

Lamar’s performance was a star-studded affair, featuring appearances from Samuel L. Jackson, SZA, Serena Williams, and Mustard. He primarily showcased tracks from his 2024 Billboard 200 chart-topping album GNX, including his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Squabble Up,” “Peekaboo,” “Luther” (with SZA), and “TV Off.”
