Dorathy Opus, a heavily pregnant woman who vanished on 7th February 2025, has been found, but her newborn is still missing.
The expectant mother, nine months into her pregnancy, disappeared from her Port Harcourt home, leaving behind her phone, charger, and purse. She had told her son she would be back shortly, but never returned.
After a five-day search, Dorathy was discovered on Wednesday evening, 12th February, at The Young Roundabout, Elelewon, Port Harcourt. Her abductors had abandoned her there after forcibly delivering her baby. She is currently receiving medical care at a local hospital.
Witnesses last saw Dorathy at the UPE Bus Stop, apparently waiting for transportation. It is believed she was abducted from this location.
The authorities have launched an investigation into this disturbing case and are actively searching for the missing infant.
