A family of six has been killed in an airstrike in Yauni community, Zakka ward, Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The incident occurred following a gun battle between bandits and security personnel, including police officers and members of the Community Watch Corps, in Zakka village.
The clash, which resulted in the deaths of three security personnel, including two police officers and a CWC operative, was reportedly triggered by bandits attempting to disrupt the local government election on Saturday, 15th February, 2025.
