The Zone 5 Headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force has issued a wanted notice for two individuals in connection with alleged murder and conspiracy to commit murder in Delta State.
The Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tijani Momoh, named the suspects as Christopher Odiakose and Leonard Happy, both from Ogwashi-Uku community.
In a statement released on Monday, 17th February 2025, SP Momoh stated that the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Arungwa Nwazue, responsible for Edo and Delta States, has declared the two men wanted for crimes allegedly committed on 24th December 2024 in Otulu, Ogwashi-Uku.
A reward of N500,000 has been offered for any information leading to the arrest of either suspect. SP Momoh confirmed that a warrant for their apprehension has been obtained, along with a motion exparte filed in the High Court of Justice, Edo State, in accordance with Section 4 of the Police Act 2020.
The statement described the suspects as part of a terror group responsible for creating a security crisis in Otulu, Ogwashi-Uku.
Members of the public are urged to contact the nearest police station or the office of the AIG, Zone 5 Headquarters, Benin City, with any information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts. The designated police hotline is 08038059618.
The police advise the public to exercise caution and avoid direct engagement with the suspects, as they are considered armed and dangerous.
