Afenifere National Youth Council President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, has made a desperate plea for help after being kidnapped. Gunmen are demanding a N100 million ransom for his release by 3 p.m. on Monday.
A video obtained by SaharaReporters shows a kidnapper holding an AK-47 to Ojajuni’s chest as he begs for financial assistance. Visibly distressed, Ojajuni appealed to Nigerians to contribute any amount possible, saying: “Nigerians, please help me! Your donation—N100,000, N50,000, or N1,000,000—can go a long way in saving my life,” he pleaded in the video. “My name is Prince Eniola Ojajuni. God bless you. Aderohunmu, please help me spread this video.”

SaharaReporters previously reported that the kidnappers issued a 48-hour ultimatum and threatened to kill Ojajuni if the N100 million ransom was not paid.
A voice recording reveals tense negotiations between the family and the kidnappers. Ojajuni, speaking in distress, confirmed the N100 million demand and said he had been shot in the buttock.
During the call, a family member pleaded with the kidnapper for a reduction, explaining they didn’t have that kind of money and were trying to sell a small piece of land to raise funds. The kidnapper insisted on cash and refused to lower the ransom to N10 million, threatening further harm to Ojajuni.
In another conversation, Ojajuni explained to a senior family member how the kidnapping occurred. He had cancelled a Sunday flight due to network issues and rescheduled for Monday. While en route to a meeting in Abuja, their vehicle was shot at between Ondo and Kabba. He confirmed he was bleeding from a gunshot wound and the kidnappers were demanding N100 million.
The family member again pleaded with the kidnapper, who chillingly revealed they were initially paid N50 million to kill Ojajuni. He claimed they were instructed to mutilate his body and that the ransom was now the only thing preventing them from carrying out those instructions.
Ojajuni urged his family to contact human rights activist Deji Adeyanju for assistance. He reiterated the 48-hour ultimatum, saying, “If the ransom is not paid, they will kill me. This is my last chance.”
The Afenifere National Youth Council confirmed Ojajuni’s abduction in a statement, stating he was taken on 17th February 2025 and sustained gunshot wounds. They appealed for his safe release and called on authorities to take immediate action. A council member confirmed to SaharaReporters that the kidnappers were demanding N100 million.
